Equity is pleased to announce the launch of
So You’re a Director Who’s Been Offered a Contract, a handy checklist of important elements to consider when working as a director. The tip sheet, created by Equity’s Directors, Choreographers, Fight Directors, and Intimacy Directors Committee (DCFID), is the first in a resource series that will provide guidance for members working in each of the Committee’s disciplines.
“Directing is an amazing job full of so many details and collaborations, and we all approach that work in our own unique way. Sometimes a reminder of certain ideas and suggestions can be helpful!” said Scott Bellis, Equity Council President and co-Chair of the DCFID Committee. “Whether you're new to the game, or an established veteran, we hope this guide helps make your gig easier and more enjoyable.”
So You’re a Director Who’s Been Offered a Contract, can be found on the new
DCFID resource page of Equity’s website, where future checklists and guides will soon be available. Feel free to copy, keep, forward, and share this guide with anyone who could use it – like your students, colleagues, and friends. And if posting on socials, please tag it with #EquityDirectors so we know how it’s getting out!
