And the inaugural
Changemaker Award will be presented to
David Connolly, in recognition of his tremendous impact in furthering the values of diversity and inclusion in the performing arts.
“We are thrilled to celebrate those in our community who have contributed so much to our art and our Association,” said Honours Committee Chair and First Vice-President,
Donna Fletcher. “What makes these awards exceedingly special is that they are peer-nominated honours – representing not only the thanks of our Association, but the appreciation of Equity artists – for the years of support, guidance, and creative inspiration demonstrated by our honourees.
“We are part of a community of courageous and inspirational theatre makers – in every discipline and every region. These awards are a small measure of the appreciation we feel for these talented and dedicated honourees who have given their hearts, their time, and their prodigious talents to their love of creation.”
To celebrate this year's honourees, a video recording of the awards presentations will be made available on Equity's social platforms and at
www.caea.com on December 6, 2024.
